What makes the interior different from a regular tumbler? +

Steel is a perfectly legitimate food-contact material — it just holds onto coffee oils and tea residue in a way ceramic doesn't.
Is the ceramic interior safe? +
Yes. The materials are food-grade and BPA-free, and they're tested under SGS RoHS requirements for restricted heavy metals — report number CZXHL26000628401, which you can verify against the SGS database yourself rather than take our word for it. Our certifications page has the documents.
Will it stop my coffee tasting metallic? +
Bare steel can leave a metallic note in coffee, tea and acidic drinks, and it tends to hold coffee oils that build up over weeks. Can the ceramic coating chip? +
Under a hard drop, yes — any coating can. Normal daily handling and hand washing won't damage it, but a direct hard impact can chip it. That's the honest tradeoff against bare steel, which is more drop-tolerant.
Can I put it in the microwave? +
No. The stainless steel body reacts with microwave energy regardless of what's lining the inside. This applies to any double-wall insulated tumbler with a metal shell, not just ours.

How do I clean it? +
Warm water and mild detergent by hand. For coffee or tea residue, baking soda works well. Avoid bleach and metal scrubbers, which can scratch the surface. Hand washing is recommended to keep the ceramic surface in good condition over time. Our cleaning guide covers this in detail.
